Black History Month ??

Why is it that Black history month is the least celebrated ? Why does the month have the least amount of days in it? It's been 15 days of Black history month and not one of my teachers has done or said anything about it. My history teacher hasnt even spoken on it and I'm kind of upset about it. I know we arent in elementary school or nothing but I mean the teachers should at least dedicate one day to our african american ancestors, but I mean thats just my opinion. Please comment if you agree.

  1. Well you just put EVERYBODY on blast didn't you!! (lol) I think you're absolutely right though. As your teacher maybe I haven't done enough to give Black History Month the shine that it deserves.

What would you like to see? Teacher's want your input too!

Myself and a few other teachers have been secretly working on a Black History Month "project", but that won't be seen until near the end of the month...maybe we should have started earlier :/ Wanna help??

  2. Hey Elona. Great work. If you're interested, I would love for you to do some research on an african american mathematician of your choice and present it to our class. you could start here:

  4. This is so true and you would think that our school if not the teachers would do or say anything about the people that has lead us where we are today. They could also just say something about a famous African American that made a difference during the morning announcements. But I agree with everything that you said.

And just this out I think you would like this. Check my blog and you will see what I'm talking about or here's the link. ENJOY!!
